The 5k walk, being organized by The Rotary Club of Hyderabad Gachibowli has taken up this cause to support the Government Girls School in Serlingampally by providing them with the basic facilities needed. Through this run which will have the whole hearted participation of all the major corporates like Microsoft, Wipro, HSBC, ISB and Hotel Ista, the club will raise funds to provide the school with the basic infrastructure such as toilets, classrooms & other basic facilities for the students to ensure proper education and development for them.

Speaking on the initiative, Rtn, Jony Lawrence, President, Rotary Club of Hyderabad Gachibowli has said, “The Rotary Club has always been taking up different social causes and this 5k walk is another ground to follow with one of our major goals of the year and to ensure proper education for the girl students. Through the proceeds generated by the 5k run we intend to provide the school students with better environment and infrastructure which would help them pursue quality education and bring out the best in them”.

The Club has been involved in many social causes including supporting the victims of various calamities and more importantly supporting numerous students pursue quality education. The Club has also sponsored an Interact Club (A Service Club for the School going Children) helping the youth to grow their leadership skills and also bring about the Giving quality at a very young age.
